Do you have to Skip Life Struggles or Use Them Wisely?

In the name of Allah, most gracious and most merciful,

Struggle is a feature in our lives and not a bug.

Maybe struggle is for pushing you to your limits. If everything is simple and easy in life, you may get bored. When you are in a difficult situation or have a difficult problem to solve, you start to think hard about how to solve it. You are using your mind “the resources that you have” to do something to get what you don’t have.

Furthermore, struggle induces appreciation afterward. Struggle brings more meaning to things when you surpass them.

If you solved a problem, most probably you will be faced with different kinds of problems. The question now becomes; what problems are you willing to solve?

For example, if you left your kids in the conventional educational system, you may face the problem of them losing their curiosity and their sense of problem-solving. In the long-term, they may hate education and you face the problem of continuously asking them to study.

However, if you started to think differently about what system you would like to design for them, now comes new questions and new problems. How will you design that system for them if it doesn’t exist? Or if it exists, how will you trust the people that you will give your children to? How will you deal with your community credentials?

The first problems are very different from the second problems. So what problems are you willing to solve?

Another example, If you don’t eat healthily, you may face the problems of diseases and laziness. But if you eat healthily, you are now in a new problem of pushing yourself to avoid the temptation of eating unhealthy.

The first problem takes much time and willpower to solve. The second one is usually temporary so that after getting used to eating healthy it no longer becomes a problem but it becomes easy.

Don’t you know that actually one of the ways to be temporarily happy or let me say have some sort of pleasure is after exercising or working out? Why? It seems that the body releases chemicals that boost your sense of well-being and suppress hormones that cause stress and anxiety.

So pain is a means of pleasure, and struggle is a means of some sort of happiness.

But I think you increase the probability of reaching true happiness when you seek to do all of the good choices after you have gone through a sincere search and then a deep belief in the correct truth behind life, and corrected your intent and renewed it accordingly.

Allah bless our master Muhammad and his family.
